With Last Christmas’ jingling in my head and cinnamon wafting all around me, I found myself frantically wrestling with Christmas trees and glitter. A little odd, considering it was 27 degrees outside and the middle of July.
Food & Drink Devon took a ‘Devon Christmas’ up to London on Thursday 13th July to attend the fantastic Christmas in July event held at the Good Housekeeping Institute.
Aimed at all types of media and press, these events are an effective way to introduce seasonal products to an influential audience looking to secure stories for their Christmas articles. Six members of Food & Drink Devon signed up to our offer of being part of this sparkling event and a range of products were launched from Christmas Cocktails to Red Miso gravy.
Our beautiful display and samples of Devon produce attracted the most attention at the exhibition and created a real buzz in the room. As a result, significant contacts were made with national and international journalists who we will keep regularly updated with Food & Drink Devon news throughout the year.
Fortunately there are still 131 days left until the main event – but great to know that the dress rehearsal was a roaring success.
